About Ellen McGeoch:
Ellen McGeoch is Director of Contracting at NeuroFlow, where she has secured over $5M in federal R&D funding and built operational infrastructure as one of the company's earliest employees. She brings extensive experience bridging academic research and commercial innovation, with particular expertise in SBIR/STTR funding pathways and dual-use technology development.
In her role at NeuroFlow, Ellen has established end-to-end contract lifecycle management for both federal and commercial partnerships, leading administration and negotiation efforts for contracts across VA, DoD, and commercial healthcare markets. She navigates the complexities of both government procurement and commercial sales, helping translate innovative technology into solutions that meet diverse customer requirements.
Ellen actively contributes to the innovation ecosystem as a mentor and advisor across multiple programs. She serves as a Principal Advisor for the Larta Institute, mentoring mission-driven startups on commercialization strategy, and as a Cohort Mentor for the AFWERX/U.S. Air Force SBIR/STTR Phase I program. She is also an expert reviewer for the National Science Foundation's SBIR/STTR program and has served as a mentor for Hacking For Defense. Ellen has spoken at venues including the Catalyst Accelerator (Air Force Research Lab) and Princeton University's NSF I-Corps Hub on topics ranging from federal funding strategies to entrepreneurial essentials for researchers.
Prior to joining NeuroFlow, Ellen conducted health services research at the University of Pennsylvania's Leonard Davis Institute of Health Economics and worked in institutional research at Cumberland County College. She is a peer-reviewed author and has presented at AcademyHealth and Stanford MedicineX.
Ellen holds a BA in Economics from the University of Maryland, an MS in Statistics, Measurement, Assessment and Research Technology from the University of Pennsylvania, and an MBA from the Quantic School of Business and Technology.
