Trevor Hinesley is Co-Founder and Chief Technology Officer (CTO) at Soundstripe, one of the Top 100 fastest growing private companies in the U.S., Top 5 fastest growing private media companies in the U.S., and the #1 fastest growing private company in Tennessee, according to the 2020 Inc. 5000 list. Soundstripe is a key provider of unlimited, royalty-free music, video, and sound effects for video, podcasts, and other media, driven by a unique subscription model that lets content creators pay a fee for usage of the media in Soundstripe’s catalog, with a la carte licenses also available. Hinesley oversees all technology initiatives at Soundstripe while also shaping the company’s technology vision, strategy, and plans for growth.

With a professional background in technology development, Hinesley is an expert at building commercial web applications for a range of startups and small businesses. He’s also an accomplished musician and audio engineer with experience in recording and live music. He toured internationally with the band VERIDIA, playing venues ranging from clubs to stadiums, and even opening for Grammy Award-winning band Evanescence. While on tour from 2014-2016, Hinesley was a full-stack web developer, initially employed by a Nashville startup, but eventually made the transition to freelance full-stack web developer and technology consultant.

With experience in the music and technology sectors spanning more than a decade, Hinesley brings a blend of expertise from both arenas to round out the culture, mission, and future of Soundstripe. He was named Nashville Tech Council’s CTO of the Year in 2023 and recognized in Nashville Business Journal’s 40 Under 40 in 2021. In 2019, he received a Best in Leadership Award from The Tennessean alongside Soundstripe Co-Founders Travis Terrell and Micah Sannan. The company was also named to The Tennessean’s Top Workplaces list in 2019, 2020, and 2021, winning the Special Award for Values in 2020. Soundstripe also won the Game-Changing Startup award in the Entertainment, Sports, and Media category at The Nashville Entrepreneur Center's 2019 NEXT Awards, and was named one of the city’s Top 10 startup cultures by Powderkeg.

Hinesley holds a B.S in Computer Science and Audio Engineering Technology from Belmont University. He currently resides in Nashville
